To give glory to our Lord Jesus Christ and to uphold the integrity of the
Company, each dancer is committed to the Guidance Dance Company Statement of
Faith and Code of Conduct. If you plan to audition for the Company, please
review these documents to ensure that you agree with and can follow the
guidelines of the Company.

Frequently Asked Questions
What to Expect at the Audition .
. .
The audition will begin
promptly, please arrive a few minutes early to change and warm-up. The
studio will be open 1/2 hour before the audition begins. The audition will
consist of ballet, modern, and lyrical jazz. Dancers will also learn and
perform a combination from the Company's upcoming repertoire. Dancers will
also complete a brief interview with the Artistic Director. Please bring your
completed
application to the
audition.
What to Wear to the Audition . . .
Appropriate dance attire is required. Please
wear a modest leotard and tights. You may also wear jazz pants/shorts or a
ballet skirt if desired. Please do not wear any baggy clothing as that will
prevent us from seeing how your body moves. We will be dancing on a marley
floor, so bring dance shoes that you will be comfortable in – no street shoes.
Ballet slippers, lyrical dance paws, and jazz shoes are recommend. Pointe
shoes are not necessary, but please bring them if you are currently dancing on pointe.
What Happens After the Audition . . .
Following the audition, the Artistic Director will
contact you regarding your participation in Guidance Dance Company.
If you are invited to join the Company, you will begin taking class and
rehearsing with the Company immediately.
